As a Berlin tour guide, I have a personal connection to the city's history. In fact, here is a photo from my first visit to East and West Berlin in 1981, during the time when the Berlin Wall was still standing.

This makes me one of the only private guides in Berlin who actually experienced the city when it was divided. Having moved here permanently more than 20 years ago, I have witnessed the transformation of Berlin into the vibrant, unified city that it is today.
